Tourette Syndrome
ReplyDelete1.a disorder of the nervous system that causes a person to make repeated and uncontrolled rapid movements and sounds called tics.
2. There is strong evidence that Tourette syndrome is passed down through families, although the gene has not yet been found.
3.Many patients with Tourette syndrome have very minor symptoms. In this case, they are usually not treated, because the side effects of the medications may be worse than the symptoms of the condition.
4.Symptoms of Tourette syndrome can range from almost unnoticeable minor movements (such as grunts, sniffling, or coughing) to continuing, uncontrollable movements and sounds (vocalizations).

I'm Ana! And I'm doing Alzheimers disease!
ReplyDeleteAlzheimers is a disease that causes you to loose your memory. It can affect a persons life in a very severe way. It causes you to loose memory and forget things. Which means you could forget who your family is, who your friends are, or even who you are. There's not a specific cause to this disease. It could be because of a series of events that take place in the brain over a long period of time. It is likely that the causes include genetic, environmental, and lifestyle factors. Or you could be in an accident that damages the brain. There are different kinds of treatments. The doctor of the patient will determain the treatment of the patient depending on, age, overall health, medical history, extent of the disease, the patients tollerance for specific medicine and therapies, expectations for the course of the disease, and the patients and their caregivers opinions or prefences. Over 15 million people worldwide are believed to suffer with Alzheimer’s disease. The number is expected to double by 2030. The disease is more common in women due to the fact women live longer than men. Alzheimer’s is named after Dr. Alois Alzheimer, a German doctor who discovered the disease in 1906.

1:Define the disability. How does it impact a person's life? Tourette Syndome is a neurological disorder characterized by repetitive, stereotyped, involuntary movements and vocalizations called tics.
ReplyDelete2:What caused it? Currently the cause of Tourette Syndrome is unknown but doctors are coming to the conclusion that the cause of the disorder is likely to be equally complex.
3:Is it treatable? If so, how?
Because tic symptoms don't often cause impairment, the majority of people with Tourettes require no
medication. But effective medications are avaliable for people who's symptoms interfere with functioning.
4:Anything else interesting? The ratio of boys to girls with Tourette's Syndrome is 3:1. Tourette's will first appear during childhood.
